Featuring a "Cut-Nut" Cameo
So, there I was, Canon in hand, ready to shoot some of the most stunning vehicles and bikes at the Monday Club and Track-Daze event…. on a Saturday, because why not keep us all on our toes with the name? But the real focus was on watching these automotive masterpieces, typically reserved for weekend cruises, occasional coffee runs and some track use , finally getting the chance to stretch their legs in a safe, controlled environment where enthusiasts get to hone and craft their driving skills without having to dodge a pothole or Taxi.
Everything was going smoothly—until I somehow managed to pick up a "cut-nut." For the uninitiated, that’s a nut (usually attached to some sort of bolt) that’s been sliced off (with a grinder) with sharp edges, and of course, it found its way right into the tyre of the JAC T9 Bakkie I’m currently testing (stay tuned for the review).

So there I was, my clean camera hands forced to get down and dirty to fix the tyre. Reminded me of my earlier Rally and Gymkhana days.
Yeah, it’s a SE7EN thing
But let me tell you, even this impromptu grease session couldn’t ruin the day. When you’re surrounded by the roar and screams of engines and watching drivers & riders fine-tune their craft, a little cut-nut is just part of the fun.
And honestly, I’d encourage more people to bring their machines out to events like these. Learning how to properly handle your car or bike in a safe environment isn’t just thrilling, it could also save your life on the road. The skills you gain here are priceless, and who doesn’t want to be a better driver/rider, right?
Big thanx to the organisers for letting us capture these machines and well done one well run event. People do not realise the amount of time and effort that goes into these events.
