Over the course of five days, the driver teams covered an impressive distance of more than 900 kilometers at the Château de Lastours. Rolf Michl, Head of Audi Motorsport, expressed satisfaction with the completion of the development tasks, shifting focus to the logistical aspects leading up to the January event. He emphasized the difficulty and prestige of the Dakar Rally, acknowledging the concerted efforts of the team, drivers, and co-drivers in tackling this formidable challenge.

Technological Excellence and Strategic Location

Under the guidance of Dr. Leonardo Pascali, Technical Director, the engineering team focused on affirming the quality standards of the Audi RS Q e-tron. This innovative vehicle is marked by its electric drivetrain, high-voltage battery, and energy converter. The final endurance tests, conducted near Narbonne and Perpignan, aimed to validate the battery system and other components of this highly efficient and low-emission vehicle. Pascali highlighted the strategic importance of the test location for logistical purposes and quick access to resources from Germany.
